Enquiries (Website, WhatsApp, Phone, Email)

Data: Name, phone number, email, postcode, service interest, property status, current heating system, message, preferred contact time
Purpose: To respond to your enquiry, provide a quote and check grant eligibility
Legal basis: Consent and legitimate interests
Retention: Up to 24 months after your last contact

Customers

Data: Name, address, contact details, property details, payment information, grant application data, installation records
Purpose: To carry out home assessments, deliver installation services, process grant applications and provide aftercare
Legal basis: Contractual necessity and legal obligation
Retention: Duration of the business relationship plus up to 6 years for legal and accounting purposes

Website Visitors

Data: Cookie consent preference (stored in your browser's local storage)
Purpose: To remember your cookie choice
Legal basis: Strictly necessary

Your Rights Under UK GDPR

Right of Access

You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you. We will respond within one calendar month. There is no charge in most circumstances.

You can ask us to delete your personal data. We will do so unless we have a legal reason to keep it.

You can ask us to limit how we use your data, for example while we investigate a concern you have raised.

You can object to us processing your data where we rely on legitimate interests. You can object to direct marketing at any time.

Right to Withdraw Consent

Where we process your data based on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. This does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.

Requesting Deletion or Correction

To delete or correct your data, email contact@ecosimply.co.uk with the subject "Data Deletion Request" or "Data Correction Request". Include your name and enough detail for us to locate your records. We will confirm the action taken within one calendar month.

Data Breaches

If a data breach occurs that is likely to pose a risk to your rights, we will notify the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) within 72 hours and inform affected individuals without undue delay.
